Instructions before Uploading the Capstone Project to the Repository

Before uploading your capstone project to the repository, it is crucial to have it approved by your thesis adviser. Please note that this process is exclusive to the MIS Program, and the capstone project needs approval for uploading. It is advisable to contact your adviser first to confirm whether the capstone project is highly recommended to be in the Repository.

Important Notice: If your adviser has not recommended the upload of your capstone project to the Repository, please reach out to the Faculty Secretary Support for the processing of your clearance. Ensure that you include both the misprogramsupport@upou.edu.ph and fics.fsec.support@upou.edu.ph email addresses in the conversation thread with your adviser for the processing of your Faculty Clearance.

Once you've confirmed that your capstone project is highly recommended to be uploaded to the Repository, ask the Library (library@upou.edu.phto conduct a Turnitin Checking for the similarity report. For more information about the Turnitin Checking guidelines, click here.

After the Library has checked your capstone project, you may submit it to the MIS Program Support for format checking. You can consider emailing misprogramsupport@upou.edu.ph or visit the MIS Helpdesk and file a ticket. Note that there are only two formats for the capstone project that you need to follow, depending on the year you graduated.

Once the student has been instructed to incorporate any missing components into their paper, such as the absence of the statement of the problem from Chapter 1 and like, they will be asked to resubmit the revised paper to the library for another Turnitin check. This is necessary to ensure that the revisions made to the paper are appropriately reviewed before seeking final approvals.

If the capstone project has been corrected and follows the prescribed format, the MIS Program Support will return it and ask you to have it signed by your adviser. Once your adviser has signed the capstone project, you must submit it again to the MIS Program Support for the other signatories needed.

The MIS Program Support will recommend the capstone project to the MIS Program Chair and FICS Dean for signatories. You will be requested to upload your capstone project to the Repository once you have the signed capstone project.

Congratulations, you have uploaded your capstone project to the Repository!

NOTE: Once you have completed the signatories and successfully uploaded your capstone project to the repository, please contact the Faculty Secretary Support at fics.fsec.support@upou.edu.ph for the processing of your clearance.
